I’ve been lucky enough to visit Sitges three times, most recently in August 2025 with my boyfriend and two friends. Nem is the restaurant I find myself returning to on every visit to Sitges. A friend and I first discovered it back in 2016 on our very first night in town, and it’s become a firm favourite ever since. What makes it special is the way it takes traditional tapas and adds a modern twist, with a menu that changes weekly to keep things fresh and exciting.

On my most recent visit in August 2025, we ordered a mix of dishes that really showed off their creativity. The patatas bravas came with a unique flavour kick, while the sashimi and cod were beautifully prepared and bursting with freshness. The roast beef and anchovies with bread and tomato reminded me why I love Spanish food so much, while the desserts were a surprise highlight. A trio of sweets included an ice cream flavoured with rosemary that was unusual yet absolutely delicious.

Nem’s atmosphere sits somewhere between relaxed and high-end. The décor and presentation make it feel like a dining experience, but it never feels intimidating or pretentious. The staff are always welcoming, switching easily between Spanish and English, and are happy to guide you through the menu.

One important tip: book ahead to avoid disappointment. On our last visit, we saw several people turned away at the door. I booked about a month in advance, but you could leave it a little later depending on the season. Either way, it’s worth planning ahead if you want a guaranteed table.

La Oca – Local Rotisserie Chicken on Carrer de les Parellades

La Oca is one of those places that proves simple food done well can be unforgettable. My friends had visited here a couple of years ago when they were looking for something straightforward, and they recommended it to me. When we finally went together in August 2025, it didn’t disappoint.

The speciality here is rotisserie chicken, and it’s clearly loved by locals. The restaurant sits right on Carrer de les Parellades, one of the busiest streets in Sitges, and it was packed every night we passed by. When we sat down, it was easy to see why. The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned and served in hearty portions at very reasonable prices. A quarter chicken cost just €5.95, and a half was €10.90, making it one of the most affordable meals of our trip.

We also enjoyed pan con tomate, a Catalan classic. What made it special was that the waiter brought all the ingredients to the table and showed us how to prepare it properly. It turned a simple dish into a fun cultural moment, and it’s something I’ll remember just as much as the food itself.

Our group of four paid €93 in total, which covered mains, sides and plenty of drinks. For a restaurant in the centre of Sitges, it felt like excellent value. Despite how busy it looked, we were seated very quickly, and no reservations were needed. With plenty of tables available, La Oca is the kind of place you can drop into without planning ahead.

La Pizza del Pecat – Grab-and-Go Pizza and Empanadas

Not every meal in Sitges needs to be a full sit-down dinner. Sometimes you just want something quick, tasty and good value, and that’s exactly what La Pizza del Pecat delivers. It’s a no-frills spot on Carrer de les Parellades, serving a variety of pizzas and empanadas that are ideal if you’re on a budget, short on time or simply fancy a relaxed bite.

We first stopped here one evening when we’d left the apartment later than usual and wanted something simple. The pizza slices were fresh, hot and flavourful, with options like pepperoni, chicken and veggie. A few days later we went back at lunchtime, grabbed a mix of empanadas and pizza, and took them down to the beach. Sitting by the sea with good food was the perfect easy meal.

One of the best things about La Pizza del Pecat is the flexibility. The pizzas are sold by the slice, so you can try different flavours without committing to a whole pizza. It’s also one of the cheapest ways to eat in Sitges, which makes it a handy option if you’re balancing out fancier meals elsewhere in town. There is no need to book here either, as you can just pop in and choose what you fancy.

Casa Perú Beach Sitges – A Taste of Peru by the Sea

Every time I travel to Spain, I try to find a Peruvian restaurant. I spent time living in Peru back in 2009, and the food always brings back amazing memories. On our first night in Sitges this summer, we headed to Casa Perú Beach Sitges, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals of the trip.

The menu was packed with classics. We shared a mixed ceviche, which was fresh, zingy and every bit as authentic as I remembered from Peru. My boyfriend went for the lomo saltado, a generous portion full of flavour, while I couldn’t resist trying the tuna causa and anticuchos. Every dish felt true to the spirit of Peruvian cooking, and it was clear that the chefs know how to balance those bold flavours. To round it off, we ordered Pisco Sours, which were the perfect finishing touch.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the waiter went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our evening. The service made the experience just as memorable as the food. Our total bill came to 136 euros for five dishes and four cocktails, which felt fair for the quality and portion sizes.

Casa Perú Beach Sitges is fairly small, so it is worth booking ahead if you want to guarantee a table. You’ll find it on Carrer Bonaire, just a short walk from the seafront. It is a brilliant choice if you want to experience something different from Spanish cuisine. With its authentic dishes and relaxed setting, it is proof that Sitges’ food scene goes far beyond tapas.

Bodega Charlie’s – Surprising Italian Gem

Bodega Charlie’s was one of the biggest surprises of our trip. From the outside it looks like a simple Italian restaurant, but once inside we found some of the best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. It quickly became a highlight of the week.

The menu is based on small plates, which makes it ideal for sharing. You could easily order a couple as mains, but we decided to share a variety to try as much as possible. The star of the evening was the beef shin ragu, which was melt in the mouth and packed with deep, slow-cooked flavour. The salad was unexpectedly delicate, made with courgette strips, cheese and a drizzle of truffle oil.

The meatballs were tender and fell apart as soon as you cut into them, seasoned beautifully to balance richness with freshness. We also tried a couple of pizettas, each with incredible combinations of flavours that showed real creativity. Alongside these, the stracciatella nduja, anchovies and garlic bread rounded out a meal where every dish impressed us.

We were greeted by a lovely waitress who took the time to talk us through the menu, switching easily between English and Spanish. Cocktails were also a highlight, priced between 8 and 10 euros, and worth adding to the meal.

Bodega Charlie’s is located on Carrer de Sant Pau, close to where we were staying. It’s not a large restaurant, and while we didn’t book in advance, we ate early and got a table without a problem. If you plan to go later in the evening, it may be worth booking ahead to make sure you don’t miss out.

For a restaurant that combines warm service, excellent cocktails and unforgettable food, Bodega Charlie’s is a true hidden gem in Sitges.
